Design Education Augmented Reality (DEAR) is a community dedicated to increasing access to design education using augmented reality platform. DEAR believes everyone is creative and technology can expand their creativity.
Street Seats is a program launched by the New York City Department of Transportation to maximize public seating throughout the city. In partnership with School of Constructed Environments, Parsons School of Design, this public seating structure was designed and built by a multidisciplinary group of students.
Oscuridad, Walking Through the Darkness is meant to be a 360 installation that can also be viewed in Virtual Reality. This project was inspired while I was filming a group of Parsons Graduate Lighting Design and Architect Students visiting communities in Puerto Rico living without electricity due to the destruction of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria.
Each year Parsons MFA Design & Technology Graduate Students team up with middle school students from Learning Community Charter School in Jersey City. Throughout the semester MFA DT students collaborate with one student from a class of 6th-8th graders to bring their creative storytelling skills to life in the world of virtual reality.
This project was created through the Rapid Prototyping for Museums course in collaboration with the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. As a class we worked with members of the museum to ideate and create prototypes for a future exhibit opening in 2020 titled,Unseen Connections.
A location based short film told through Augmented Reality in one New York City block.
Kind Light eases the anxiety of finding open space when entering a crowded area. Instead of guiding people to invite newcomers into the space, the space itself works with KindLight technology to display where space is shared and welcomed for everyone.
As an Instructional Designer, the focus was always to create effective and engaging training material to improve customer service, increase sales, and ensure employees are knowledgeable and confident.
